SAGA Scenario: The Heir ( Miguel Mata).
After his father’s sudden death, the young Heir is being escorted back to his lands to become the new ruler. His survival is crucial because if he dies, the kingdom will be inherited by his cousin, the ruler of the neighbouring kingdom. Halfway through their journey, the Heir’s escort is ambushed by his cousin’s forces, intent on killing him. But where is he?
Special rules:
The Heir is hidden within one of his units, either Hearhguards, Warriors or Levies. Before starting the game, the Heir player will write on a piece of paper which unit is protecting the Heir.
Terrain: no ruins nor impassable terrain allowed.
Deployment: the Heir deploys his whole army. His first unit is deployed anywhere on the table; 2nd unit must be placed no further than S of 1st unit; 3rd unit must be placed no further than S of 2nd unit; and so on. Pretender places his units anywhere on the table; none of his units may be placed at nor within M of the Heir’s units.
Pretender starts the game.
The unit protecting the Heir cannot charge; it cannot make double movements; it cannot move more than M (even if it is a cavalry unit).
The Heir is killed when his unit is completely eliminated.
Victory conditions: Heir wins the by staying alive for the duration of the game (6 turns) or by killing the enemy Warlord. Pretender wins the game by killing the Heir.
